Use unique credentials
Use a unique password stored in a reputable password manager and protect the connected email account. Reused passwords allow a breach at another service to become an account takeover here.
Protect the session
Sign out on shared devices, review unexpected account messages through the known site, and reset credentials promptly when compromise is suspected. Never approve remote access for someone claiming to be support.
